But if you are pressed for time (Like most of us)... I got you covered.
This CLIFFS NOTE version is just for YOU!
DAY 1
Do a brain-dump...
Assess your life as a whole...
What are your roles, responsibilities, activities that fill up your days...
Are you a mother/wife/business owner/student/muslim...
What are you doing in those...
Where are you struggling...
Whats specifically holding you back?
Keep on writing 1-2-3 pages.
Day 2
Identify 3 main areas where you want to focus on this Ramadan
Is it your salah, Quran?
Which bad habit do you want to give up? Too much caffeine or fried food? Too much social media?
Go deep.
Choose only 3.
You will see this paper every morning...
SET THE INTENTION to act on the goal
Constantly check if you are performing your goal(after every salah) throughout the day...
Before you sleep- put a tick or x on the goal.
Repeat this process for 30 days.
Day 3
24 Hour day.
What're you doing from fajr- dhuhr, dhuhr- asr... etc?
Fill in your MUST-DO tasks first.
See where you have gaps... put in your personal goal achievement time.
Again- set the daily intention, constant checks, before bed accountability.
Day 4
Strategies to get over the tough times
> Why did I set this goal?
> Visualize yourself as already having done that goal
> Affirm- I am praying a sincere salah, I am reading or going to finish my 2 pages of Quran
> Get someone else on board- to call you out when you feel weak
> Make constant dua in your salah or while doing other chores- for success in your goals.
Day 5
Striving for more
>How would it be if you completed the ramadan having done better than your pre-set goals
>How would that make you feel
It would raise your self-belief- you set the target and achieved it... this will raise your self-confidence. This will tune your subconscious mind to set higher goals...
Let this model seep into the rest of the year.
Set 3 goals per month. Achieve. Hold yourself accountable!
